Madamme Tinto
From Egyptian Umm Khaltum to Polish jazz composers like Krzysztof Komeda, from Amadeus Mozart to Kraftwerk - it's quite hard to put all together influences that have created Madame Tinto's taste in music...
" 'Eine Kleine Nacht Music' was a first track which blew my mind at the age of 5" - confess this born in Dubai half Egyptian half Polish dj-ane.
Her first years of life spent in brand new formed country- a mix of nationalities from around the world -United Arab Emirates later in eastern Europe and six-month episode in Chicago-U.S. strongly determined her personality, open attitude and tolerance towards other cultures.
Having father musician, violin player and composer it was hard to escape from all those sounds-from the classic masters such as Tchaikovsky, Bethoveen untill the late 70's disco and electronic tunes of the 80's but one thing is certain-that this specific blend definitely did nourish her imagination and shaped her musical sensibility.
Many years later, playing acoustic guitar, experimenting with the piano and violin, dreaming of owning percussion and to become a percussionist, exploring the world of different musical genres from rock, punk, synth-pop, italo, industrial and electronic, from Michael Jackson, James Brown and Led Zeppelin, Nico to OMD, NIN, Orbital and many others she discovered house and techno scene, Love Parade in Berlin, Tresor and vinyl madness.
Master Degree in Social Psychology hasn't change much-soon she began working in music industry in Warsaw based Concert Agency dealing with bookings and artist management, organizing concerts, events and her first club parties.
Searching for good discs on a regular basis regardless of whether it's a new album or an old production she always liked to share it with friends and colleagues.
It was only a matter of time when the trill of discovering music, sharing that passion and strong desire to have as much to do as possible with music will lead her in to the next step-dj-ing. She began to play, develop her music collection and own artistry.
So here she is-standing behind the decks since 2003, playing in whole Poland and abroad (Chicago, Miami, Barcelona, Berlin, Leipzig etc), the big festivals (Heineken Open Er, Coke Live Festival, Outdoor Music Experiance, Festival of East European Cinema in Germany etc.) and smaller parties, with residency in few good clubs in her favoite polish cities (Cracow etc), having on her account several music projects mainly with ladies: Madames Soundsytem (with vocalist Dominique and flute player Asha) performing jazzy house live acts; succesful dj duo with Nelle called G!rls Talk and frequent cooperation with vocalist Mc Glenskii who sang live to dj sets.
In 2008 she moved to Berlin - the heart of electronic music to find her own place among other creative, open-minded people. Working in booking departement in few companies like Nutricious and Gigolo Records beside focusing on her own career was quite a good start. "I adore this international tangle of people, creative, uncompromising in expressing themselfs and the atmosphere of acceptance of any dissidence-this place definitely fits into my soul" -she admits.
As a great music lover she enjoy playing all what she likes regardless of how it's labelled- it might be oldscool, underground disco, italo, funk, soul and electronic tunes for sophisticated audience as well as energetic minimalistic, deep, techno-house dancefloor oriented tracks for real club crowd.
Just like good quality red wine that needs time to grow up which actually was an inspiration for her artistic pseudonym, she also matures musically by collecting experiences, knowledge and skills to present all the best she can offer to the audience.
Artists such as Moodyman, different Detroit producers, Mathew Dear, Abe Duque, Ben Klock and many others, classic or fresh and new good sound techno, house or electronic productions play an important role in her choice of music today. There is only one rule: quality.
